Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This role involves a balanced mix of office and inpatient coverage, focusing on high-risk pregnancies. You'll perform essential procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and manage conditions such as pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancy, growth restriction, and various congenital abnormalities. The practice is well-equipped with GE ultrasound machines and supported by a dedicated team including an RN clinic educator, sonographer, and genetic counselor.
Schedule and Assignment Details
Enjoy a structured workweek with clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:15 PM, accompanied by nightly call duties. Weekend coverage is required, offering a comprehensive view of patient care across different times. The position is part of a well-coordinated service where providers rotate between two locations approximately 30 minutes apart, ensuring balanced coverage and continuity of care.

Qualifications
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine and hold a valid Virginia medical license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, with AIUM certification preferred. A self-query NPDB report, pulled within 30 days, is also necessary at the time of presentation.
