Cardiology Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: Aug 05, 2026
• End Date: Dec 31, 2026
• Schedule: Weekends are Friday 5pm-Monday 8am; rounding included Saturday and Sunday (typically 8 hours onsite)
• Call Schedule: Overnight call; anything beyond rounding hours is considered call

Clinical Details

• Practice Settings: Clinic and hospital
• No implant LVAD at this time
• Patients to be seen are advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock and hear failure patients
• In the clinic, the physician sees patients on their own
• In hospital setting, most days an APP rounds with the physician, but there are days (PTO and CME) that an APP is not present
• Advanced surgical treatment options include implantable heart devices, including percutaneous and surgical Impellas and ECMO

Requirements

• Board: BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant (ABIM)
• Completion of an ACGME accredited heart failure fellowship
• NPDB: Reports must be no older than 3 months (no reports/clear only)
• Experience: More than 5 years post-fellowship experience preferred
• Expertise in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation
• Proficient in management of short-term mechanical support devices including Impella and ECMO
