Physician Assistant (GI)

Location: Salem, Oregon

Position Overview

A growing gastroenterology practice in Salem, OR is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The PA will work closely with physicians to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions while delivering compassionate and efficient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

• NCCPA certification required

• Active Oregon Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain)

• ACLS certification preferred

• GI experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions

• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests

• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans

• Provide patient education and counseling

• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members

• Participate in hospital rounds, consultations, and follow-up care as needed

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $112,000 $134,000 annually
