This position is designed for physicians who want stable, long-term scheduling with the variety and flexibility of a two-site model — with clearly defined shift structures and predictable ED volume. Physicians hired into this role agree to cover shifts at both facilities as part of the permanent arrangement. Opportunity Snapshot Location: Mexia, TX Ennis, TX (cross-credentialed) Start: June 1, 2026 Position Type: Permanent Scheduling Model: Permanent agreement with shifts at both locations Facility & Volume Highlights Site 1: Mexia, TX ED volume: ~ 27–30 patients per 24-hour period Shift model: 24-hour shifts (sleep room available for ED physicians) Hospital size: Community hospital (approx. 50–60 beds ) Site 2: Ennis, TX ED volume: ~ 38–42 patients per 24-hour period Shift model: 12-hour shifts Hospital size: Community hospital (approx. 60 beds ) Publicly described ED utilization includes ~15,000 ED patients annually .
