Utilization Management RN

UCHealth, a nonprofit healthcare leader in Colorado, invites applications for the Utilization Management RN position within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. We are searching for a dedicated Registered Nurse to ensure effective use of healthcare services through efficient utilization management. Your role involves conducting thorough utilization reviews, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans, and maintaining the quality of care while identifying cost-saving opportunities. In this role, your clinical assessment skills will be vital, as you evaluate the appropriateness of medical care and diagnostics. You'll be working in a Hybrid environment as part of an innovative, inclusive, and supportive team dedicated to patient care excellence and systemic improvement. We seek individuals with a minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare experience, particularly in utilization management, and with suitable qualifications such as an RN license and preferably a certification in utilization review. Conduct utilization reviews for patient care plans to ensure optimal use of healthcare resources. Collaborate with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams to support effective patient care. Utilize clinical expertise to evaluate appropriateness of care and diagnostic procedures. Identify opportunities for cost savings while upholding quality care standards. Document findings and provide reports to healthcare teams and management.
