This position requires a dedicated RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to improving patient outcomes in a highly specialized unit. You will collaborate with a team of skilled heart care professionals to deliver top-tier care and foster a supportive, dynamic patient care environment. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgeries. Monitor patient vital signs, detect changes in symptoms, and effectively communicate patient status to the medical team. Administer medications, manage ventilators and other life-supporting equipment. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical treatment plans, and self-care skills necessary post-discharge. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans and outcomes. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development to stay abreast of the latest advances in cardiothoracic care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Competency in handling complex ICU equipment Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills Ability to perform under stressful conditions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
