Full-time Description Job Title: Pediatrician Classification: Full-time Reports to: Medical Director Summary: Provide comprehensive primary healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents (birth through age 20). Responsibilities include diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, preventive care, and health maintenance. The Pediatrician serves as a leader within the Patient-Centered Medical Home model and collaborates with care team to deliver high-quality, coordinated, and compassionate care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities: Obtain complete medical histories and perform physical examinations for patients from birth through young adulthood. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses. Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests; develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans. Provide preventive care, including well-child visits, immunizations, and developmental screenings. Educate patients and families on health maintenance, nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention. Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and referrals to specialists as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and behavioral/social health services to ensure integrated, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Additional Expectations: Provide oversight and guidance to medical assistants and support staff. Maintain productivity of approximately 3–4 patient encounters per clinical hour. Complete and close patient encounter documentation within three (3) business days. Deliver care efficiently to minimize patient wait times while maintaining quality. Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to excellent patient and family Requirements Qualifications/Experience: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from accredited institution. Active, unrestricted Texas medical license with no history of disciplinary action. Current DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start). Board Certified in Pediatrics preferred. Experience in a primary care or community health setting preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) skills preferred, but not required. Time/Physical Requirements: Schedule is 40 hours per week, specific are negotiable based on clinic needs. Tasks occur in both medical office and clinic setting. Ability to perform standard clinical duties, including standing, walking, and lifting to 25 pounds.
