Medication Assistant, Certified

Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Assistant to join our team, serving our mission to improve the health and wellness of underserved communities. In this role, you will be integral in our holistic approach to care, ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and timely. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses to administer oral and topical medications, which is a critical component in our comprehensive healthcare services. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in medication administration, and a passion for patient care. Administer scheduled medications to patients as prescribed and record all pertinent information. Observe patients’ responses to medications and report any adverse reactions to the supervising nurse. Maintain accurate and detailed medication administration records. Assist in the ordering, stocking, and storage of medical supplies. Educate patients on medication management and address any concerns about their prescriptions. Ensure compliance with all health care regulations concerning medication administration. Knowledge of medication management and administration Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Proficiency in using healthcare software and record-keeping Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred
