Compassionate Veterinarian

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice seeks a Compassionate Veterinarian dedicated to providing end-of-life care with dignity and empathy. Our mission involves supporting families during their pets' final days, focusing on delivering peaceful and dignified farewells directly in the comfort of the pets' home. The Compassionate Veterinarian will work closely with pet families, offering emotional support and medical expertise to ensure a gentle passing for beloved pets. This role requires a deep understanding of veterinary hospice care, excellent communication skills, and a profound sense of empathy. Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for pets. Support pet owners through the euthanasia process with empathy and sensitivity. Collaborate closely with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure quality care. Communicate effectively with pet families to help them understand their options. Participate in continuing education to stay updated on best practices in palliative and hospice care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience with palliative care, pain management, and euthanasia Ability to work sensitively with distressed pet owners Comprehensive understanding of animal behavior and welfare State veterinary board certification IAAHPC Certification in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (preferred but not required)
