Good Samaritan Hospital, part of the esteemed TriHealth Inc., is seeking a seasoned Hospital Laboratory Director to oversee the operations and advancements of our laboratory services. This key role is crucial for maintaining our commitment to deliver cutting-edge medical care and ensuring the highest standards of laboratory testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our laboratory staff, coordinating scientific and administrative functions, and leading innovative projects to improve laboratory efficiency and accuracy. This leadership position requires a unique blend of scientific knowledge and managerial expertise, set within our state-of-the-art facilities in Cincinnati. Oversee all laboratory operations and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards. Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and accuracy of tests. Manage a team of lab technicians and support staff, ensuring continuous development and high-performance standards. Liaise with hospital management and other departments to align laboratory services with overall hospital goals. Monitor and manage the laboratory budget, including procurement of technology and supplies. Lead initiatives in research and development within the laboratory settings to keep pace with technological advances. Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of laboratory equipment, and implement new technologies as needed. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in laboratory information systems Knowledgeable in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations Ability to manage budgets and understand financial reports Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent. Certified in Laboratory Management or similar qualifications.
