Job Description Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role offers an opportunity to apply specialized clinical pharmacy skills in a closed-door mail order environment. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible Saturdays as needed, the Clinical Pharmacist will deliver patient-centered care focused on medication therapy management and therapeutic drug monitoring. This 13-week contract to hire position emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal medication use and patient safety. Key Responsibilities: Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescription orders and regulatory standards. Provide counseling and education to patients about medication usage, side effects, and interactions. Review and interpret physician orders to verify therapy appropriateness. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplicate therapies. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes and encourage medication adherence. Maintain comprehensive patient records, including medication histories and documentation of interventions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. Manage proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products, monitoring for expired or compromised medications. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement. Assist with inventory management including ordering, stocking, and supply control. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with pharmacy practice advancements. Qualifications and Experience: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Active Indiana Pharmacy License required. California pharmacy license preferred, or willingness to reciprocate (support provided for reciprocity costs). Experience in medication therapy management and clinical pharmacotherapy. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes. Excellent communication and collaborative skills within healthcare teams.
