Med Aide

Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to underserved communities. The successful candidate will be integral in administering medications as prescribed by our healthcare providers and ensuring the daily health needs of our patients are met with the utmost care and confidentiality. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about promoting holistic health and wellness outcomes. Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain related medical records under supervision of healthcare professional. Verify identity of patient receiving medication and record name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records. Communicate with healthcare providers about patient's condition and response to drugs. Monitor patients for drug reactions and report any problems to medical staff. Educate patients about their medications and their side effects in a way that is understandable. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment in the medication room and associated areas. Participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings whenever required, contributing to the holistic care processes of the healthcare center. Strong understanding of medication types, interactions and pharmacy standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Ability to follow strict protocols and high attention to detail. Compassion for patients and a commitment to their privacy and overall well-being. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) or similar certification is preferred.
