Albany Medical Center, renowned for its integration of a top-tier hospital and a leading medical college, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our D5E unit. This role demands a compassionate, skilled nurse with a proven ability to provide exceptional patient care and support in a dynamic hospital environment. The Clinical Nurse II will work closely with interdisciplinary health teams to deliver patient-centered care, continuous patient monitoring, and educational support tailored to patient needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient conditions continuously, responding timely to changes in status. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management strategies, ensuring their understanding and comfort. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement comprehensive patient care. Participate in the development and evaluation of nursing practices and policies. Strong clinical skills with the ability to react decisively in emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using electronic health record systems. Ability to work flexibly across diverse medical teams. Strong analytical skills to evaluate patient care effectiveness. Medical Insurance Current registered nurse license in the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
