Clinical Nurse II: M5

Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation and education, is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse II for our M5 medical unit. This role is pivotal in providing exemplary care and support to patients while working collaboratively with a team of skilled healthcare professionals. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate using computerized documentation systems. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Educate patients and families on illness and injury prevention and on managing health conditions. Participate in unit-based Quality Assurance Program. Maintain a compassionate and supportive environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Proficient in using medical software for patient care management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge in evidence-based clinical practices. Medical Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
