RN Operating Room Nights

UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in Colorado, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Operating Room for the night shift. This position provides an essential service in our high-stress environments where our commitment to patient-centered care is paramount. The candidate will operate in a state-of-the-art facility, leveraging the latest in medical technology to deliver top-tier medical services. This role demands precision, quick decision-making, and a profound commitment to patient care, ensuring all surgical operations are conducted safely and effectively. Prepare and maintain sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment for operations. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring efficient handling of surgical tools and post-operative patient care. Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice. Observe, monitor, and record patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respiration, and weight, and reporting adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Follow strictly all sanitation and safe waste disposal procedures. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Proficient in general anesthesia administration Strong ability to operate surgical equipment Excellent teamwork and multi-tasking skills Capable of handling high-stress situations during critical care Effective communication and patient management abilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse license in Colorado BLS/CPR certification ACLS certification preferred
