Surgical Stepdown RN

HCA Healthcare invites qualified candidates to join our team as a Surgical Stepdown RN. In this role, you will provide care for patients recovering from major surgeries. This critical position supports our mission to deliver top-tier, patient-centered care in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You will monitor patient recovery, manage medical equipment, and ensure proper medication administration post-surgery, aiding in the patient's transition from surgical care to standard ward care. Monitor patient vital signs and recovery progress post-surgery. Administer and manage medications as prescribed by the attending physician. Coordinate with surgical and medical staff to optimize patient recovery. Educate patients and their families on post-surgery home care needs. Maintain accurate patient records and report any significant changes in patient status. Proficient in post-surgical patient care and monitoring. Skilled in the use of medical equipment like patient monitors and infusion pumps. Excellent communication and patient education abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. BLS certification is required. ACLS certification is highly preferred.
