Koch Foods, a leader in the poultry processing industry, is seeking an experienced Truck Shop Supervisor to oversee and enhance the operations of our transportation department. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective management of our fleet operations, which supports the timely distribution of fresh and frozen poultry products across our extensive network. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of our truck fleet, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This position requires a strategic leader with a robust understanding of transportation management within the logistics sector, focusing on efficiency and sustainability. The Truck Shop Supervisor will play a crucial role in optimizing our distribution processes, maintaining fleet reliability, and ultimately contributing to our commitment to excellence in service and product delivery. Oversee daily operations of the truck shop, including scheduling and coordination of maintenance and repairs Manage a team of mechanics and other shop staff, ensuring proficient training and compliance with safety procedures Plan and implement fleet maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and environmental standards Coordinate logistics to support efficient distribution of products Develop and manage the department’s budget, including procurement of tools and materials Analyze operational data to propose enhancements in fleet efficiency and cost-effectiveness Liaise with other department supervisors to ensure seamless supply chain operations Strong leadership and team management skills Proficient in logistics and fleet maintenance software Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments Strong problem-solving skills Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) preferred Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is an advantage
