Speech Pathologist

Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in facility-based and home-based patient care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work across both our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and our extensive network of home health agencies. As a Speech Pathologist at Encompass Health, you will provide specialized assessment, diagnosis and treatment services for individuals with speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on each patient's specific needs. Provide therapy interventions to reduce impairments and facilitate recovery of speech and communication functions. Educate patients and family members about communication strategies and coping mechanisms. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Maintain accurate patient documentation and compliance with all healthcare regulations. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review treatment plans and patient progress.
