Charge Nurse L&D Birth Center Nights

UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse for our Labor and Delivery Birth Center on night shifts. The Charge Nurse will oversee night shift operations in the L&D unit, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care and that staff adhere to all safety protocols. Coordinate and supervise all nursing staff activities during the night shift to ensure patient safety and care quality. Manage patient flow and ensure timely patient assessments and delivery of care services. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate individualized patient care plans. Monitor and enforce compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Mentor and train new nurses and supporting staff. Handle administrative duties including scheduling shifts and managing resources efficiently. Respond to emergencies and make critical patient care decisions. Promote a supportive and collaborative work environment. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in electronic health record systems. Expertise in labor and delivery clinical practices and protocols. Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado. BLS/CPR certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Certified in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) highly desirable.
