RN Surgical Acute Care

UCHealth is seeking highly skilled and passionate Registered Nurses to join our Surgical Acute Care Team. As part of a leading nonprofit healthcare system in Colorado, our RNs play a critical role in providing top-notch care in a collaborative environment dedicated to improving patient health and recovery. This role involves managing the care of patients post-surgery in an acute care setting, ensuring they receive the highest standards of medical attention during their recovery period. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients. Monitor patient health and recovery, responding to clinical changes and adjusting care as needed. Administer medications and maintain detailed documentation of patient care and progress. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care and wellness. Strong clinical skills in a surgical acute care environment. Ability to make quick, critical decisions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in electronic medical record systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado. BLS/CPR certification required at the time of hire. Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
