Mechanic (ASE)

MV Transportation, Inc., a leader in public transportation services, is seeking a highly skilled and certified ASE Mechanic to join our maintenance team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our diverse fleet of vehicles. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, focusing on keeping our buses operating smoothly to serve communities across the U.S. and Canada. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and necessary repairs on buses and other fleet vehicles. Conduct comprehensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of problems and provide accurate repair recommendations. Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints, conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and components. Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems. Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintain vehicle records by recording and filing all service and repairs. Continuously seek to enhance maintenance and repair processes and embrace new vehicle technology in the automotive field. Proficiency in vehicle mechanical and electrical repair and diagnosis. Excellent knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. High level of professionalism and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification required. Valid driver’s license; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus but not required.
