Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Mobile to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in vehicle repair and maintenance to ensure the optimal functioning of our diverse fleet of transportation vehicles. As part of Ryder, a leader in logistics and fleet management, you will contribute directly to our reputation for excellence in supporting businesses across various industries with innovative and efficient transportation solutions. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostic testing to identify issues and assessing condition of parts. Respond to service calls and conduct on-site repairs to minimize vehicle downtime and disruption to service. Uphold Ryder’s standards for safety and quality, ensuring that all work complies with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of each repair and servicing task to contribute to the fleet management database. Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule maintenance and optimize vehicle availability. Stay abreast of new technologies and techniques in the field of diesel mechanics and mobile repair services. Expertise in diesel engine maintenance and repair, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage on-call responsibilities effectively. Excellent communication and customer service skills, especially when dealing with onsite client interactions. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics (T2 Diesel Engines, T4 Brakes, T5 Suspension and Steering, and T6 Electrical/Electronic Systems). Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred.
