RN Assistant Director of Nursing MedSurg Unit

MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated RN Assistant Director of Nursing for our MedSurg Unit. The successful candidate will assist in managing nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while maintaining operational efficiency. This role demands a leader who can balance administrative responsibilities with effective clinical support and guidance. Oversee daily operations of the MedSurg unit, including patient care, staff management, and resource allocation Implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Assist in the development and execution of training programs for nursing staff Evaluate nursing staff performance and provide feedback and coaching Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency Participate in budgeting and clinical resource management Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage high-pressure situations Proficiency in clinical systems and healthcare technology Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) preferred
