Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp/PACU

MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. This role is critical in providing high-quality preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating smooth recovery processes. Our ideal candidate is dedicated to advancing their nursing skills in a supportive environment where patient-first care is our top priority. Assess patient condition before and after surgery, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Prepare patients for surgery and provide postoperative care to aid recovery. Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans. Educate patients and families on postoperative home care needs. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Strong clinical skills in PreOp and PACU settings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using medical software for patient records Ability to work collaboratively in a team Highly skilled in patient assessment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice BLS Certification ACLS Certification PALS Certification preferred
