Mechanic Level A

MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanic Level A to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our diverse fleet of transportation vehicles, serving communities across North America. As a pivotal part of our maintenance team, this role requires expertise in diagnostic techniques, preventative maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs, focused primarily on buses and other transportation vehicles. Perform advanced diagnostic tests on buses, paratransit vehicles, shuttles, and school buses to identify mechanical and electronic issues. Execute complex repairs and replacements of major components, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. Conduct routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes, lubrications, and brake system adjustments to enhance vehicle reliability and performance. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used to track vehicle history and upcoming maintenance needs. Collaborate with the maintenance team to share knowledge and ensure the highest standards of mechanical repair strategies and techniques. Participate in training and certification updates relevant to industry advancements and vehicle maintenance technologies. Expertise in electronic diagnostics and mechanical systems In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic units Proficiency with maintenance tools and equipment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain safety standards Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE Certification in Heavy-Duty Truck Maintenance Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
