Koch Foods, a leader in the poultry processing industry, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic supply chain team. This role is pivotal in managing procurement activities across our extensive network of production facilities. The successful candidate will ensure the continuous supply of raw materials and other essential items required to meet production demands and uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality poultry products to our clientele. Develop, evaluate, and manage effective procurement strategies. Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices and secure the best possible terms. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitiveness and supply continuity. Manage supplier relationships and handle contractual agreements. Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine procurement needs and specifications. Maintain precise records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Ensure compliance with the company’s standards and regulatory requirements. Strong negotiation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
