Key Qualifications and Experience: Licensed RN with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Minimum 1 year experience in Cardiology, especially in acute coronary syndrome and post-cardiac procedure care Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and titration of critical IV drips including Dobutamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerine, and more Comfortable managing complex patient cases involving STEMI/NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular conditions Location Highlights:Situated in Kernersville, part of the vibrant Piedmont Triad region, this role offers a convenient commute with free onsite parking. Role Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 28-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and vascular patient populations Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and telemetry monitoring techs Manage telemetry monitoring, medication administration through advanced IV pumps, and patient assessments Adhere to a family-oriented unit culture emphasizing teamwork and excellence Float within the cardiology division or other medical-surgical units as necessary Scheduling and Work Environment: Shift options: 0630-1900 (days) or 1830-0700 (nights) with an every-other-weekend rotation No call responsibilities and RTO available up to 5 days Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays Orientation includes a thorough two-day unit-specific training This contract position offers an enriching experience at a top-level academic medical center with advanced technology and patient care protocols.
