You will lead a team of medication assistants, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care in medication administration, regulatory compliance, and patient engagement. Supervise a team of medication assistants, providing training and ensuring adherence to all health codes and regulations. Administer medications accurately according to physician orders and document patient responses. Provide compassionate care and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team. Monitor patient health outcomes and adjust medication plans as necessary. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning medication administration in long-term care settings. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and medication management systems. Maintain complete and accurate records of all medications stored and administered. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of medication types, interactions, and administration protocols. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with high standards of ethics and confidentiality. Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
