Operating Room Nurse

UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, the successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and success of surgical procedures. This position is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to excellence and patient-centered care at our advanced medical facilities. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and setting up surgical tools and devices. Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and materials, responsibly managing surgical equipment. Monitor patients’ vital signs and maintain detailed documentation throughout surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure effective communication and high standards of patient care. Provide preoperative and postoperative care, educating patients and their families on recovery procedures. Strong ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent coordination and attention to detail. Proficiency in using surgical tools and technology. Effective communication skills with patients, families, and team members. High competency in maintaining safety and hygiene standards in the operating room. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification preferred but not required.
