RN Acute Care Medical Surgical Oncology

UCHealth, a leader in healthcare innovation and patient care in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Acute Care Medical Surgical Oncology unit. The chosen candidate will contribute to our commitment to improve lives and provide the highest quality care to our oncology patients. This role requires expertise in managing complex patient situations in a fast-paced surgical setting and a passion for oncological care. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Monitor patient health and progress while preparing patients for, and assisting with, examinations and treatments. Administer medications and maintain records of symptoms and progress to communicate to the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and post-treatment care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Participate in research and incorporation of evidence-based practice in the field of oncology nursing. Strong clinical skills in a hospital setting Proficient in using healthcare software and systems Excellent communication and empathy skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure Capable of critical thinking and swift decision-making in emergency scenarios Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
