Family/Internal Medicine- Foley, Alabama near the Coast

Job Description Looking for a full-time Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Doctor for Foley, Alabama. This position is located near Pensacola, Florida and i along the coast. Clinical Management Functions: • Manages individual patient care activities at the Center. • Confers with the Chief Medical Officer and CEO as needed. • Supports and maintains the competence and quality of all clinical support staff. • Consults with members of the provider staff on clinical issues or coordinates appropriate continuing education and in-service training. • Assures safety and adequate maintenance of Center’s medical records. • Conducts or supervises an ongoing quality assurance program. Clinical Responsibilities: • Provide primary care services as appropriate under licensure and standards of care by specific scope of practice by specialty to patients at the Center as scheduled. • Provides both in-patient and out-patient care as appropriate by specialty if credentialed by area hospital. • Provide medical direction for health care activities. • Periodically review patient medical records for accuracy and completeness. • Provide medical orders and patient referrals as appropriate. • The Physician shall refer and coordinate in-patient hospitalization for the Center’s patients at the hospital of the patient’s choice and/or at a facility as required pursuant to insurance contract guidelines. • Maintains Credentials at area hospital as appropriate and as required. • The Physician shall cooperate with the Chief Medical Officer in arranging for alternative back-up call, however, Physician must be available for call unless back-up support, approved by the CEO is available.
