Job Description Gastroenterology Physician – Onsite VA Clinic (Locum/Contract Position)Finger Lakes Health Care System – Rochester, NY Rochester Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) 260 Calkins Rd, Rochester, NY 14623 Position Overview Goldfish Medical Staffing is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist (Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology) to provide onsite outpatient GI services for Veterans at the VA Finger Lakes Health Care System’s Rochester CBOC. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity delivering GI consults, procedures, and follow-up care in a stable, predictable clinic environment—NO call, NO nights, NO weekends. Duties & Responsibilities The Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive outpatient GI services including, but not limited to: - GI consultations & follow-up visits - Colonoscopy (diagnostic /- biopsy, polypectomy, snare removal, ablation, control of bleeding, via colostomy) - Flexible sigmoidoscopy (with biopsy/snare/ablation) - PEG tube replacement - EGD (diagnostic, biopsies, snare removal, control of bleeding, dilation) - Timely completion of clinical documentation in CPRS/VistA - Discharge planning, education, and coordination of follow-up care - Bedside consults for non-ambulatory patients as required - Participation in quality improvement activities as designated by the facility
