Registered Nurse PACU

Swedish Medical Center is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role is pivotal in providing top-tier recovery care for patients following anesthesia. The ideal candidate will embody our commitment to patient-centered care, utilizing the latest in medical technology and practices to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their recovery phase. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility with a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional healthcare. Assess patient condition post-surgery and monitor signs of complications. Administer medications for pain management and monitor patient responses. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families. Ensure that all medical equipment is functioning correctly. Coordinate with surgical and medical staff to plan and evaluate patient care. Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and health maintenance. Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided. Strong competence in using medical monitoring equipment and software. Excellent observational and clinical judgment skills. Proficient in pain management and wound care. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team. Exceptional communication and empathetic interpersonal skills. BLS Certification required upon hire; ACLS Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
