Registered Nurse (RN) Hematology Oncology Bone Marrow Transplant

At MedStar Health, a leader in comprehensive healthcare in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hematology Oncology Bone Marrow Transplant team. This vital role will focus on providing top-tier patient care in alignment with our commitment to excellence and personalized treatment plans. The RN will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to administer therapies, manage patient recovery, and support patients and families through the transplant process in our state-of-the-art facilities. Administer chemotherapy and other medications accurately and safely. Monitor patient’s vital signs and symptoms, and report any changes to the appropriate team members. Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and post-treatment care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive plan of care. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all confidentiality regulations. Strong knowledge of hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplantation. Proficient in IV therapy, pain management, and infection control. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Vision Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
