Registered Nurse (RN) Neurology Medicine&Epilepsy Monitoring Unit

MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Neurology Medicine & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Located in the tri-state area of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, our facility offers groundbreaking medical techniques and comprehensive care. This specialized role focuses on assisting patients with neurological conditions and epilepsy, ensuring high standards of culturally competent care for a wide range of patients. Provide direct nursing care to patients with neurological disorders, including those undergoing epilepsy monitoring. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement and evaluate patient care plans. Administer medications, track patient progress, and communicate effectively with patients and their families. Utilize advanced medical equipment and techniques in the treatment and monitoring of neurologic conditions. Participate in research and continuing education to stay abreast of advances in neurology nursing. Strong clinical skills in a neurology setting Proficiency with EEG and other neurological monitoring tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Capability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C. Certification in Neurology Nursing (CNRN) preferred.
