Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Unit Location: Houston, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,236 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year of Experience Required License: Valid RN License Required Certifications: BLS Required; CNOR Certification Preferred Must-Have: - 2 years of OR Circulating Experience in an Acute Care Hospital - Varied skill set in General Surgery, ENT, Uro/Gyn, Ortho, Robotics - CVOR experience Description: The unit features 14 operating rooms, including 2 dedicated to cardiovascular procedures and 12 for general surgeries. The staff consists of 8 RNs and 8 Surgical Technologists. During the day shift, there are 6 RNs and 6 Surgical Technologists on duty. Operating room hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM with a schedule that includes additional hours for on-call teams. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:1. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Key procedures performed in the unit include heavy robotics, gynecological, general surgery, ENT, colorectal, vascular, and urology. Artificial nails, dips, gels, etc., are not permitted. On-call shifts are self-scheduled, with a requirement of 1 to 2 shifts per week. Weekends are covered by on-call, with a 24-hour requirement. On-call during weekdays begins at the end of regular shifts.
