Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic team. This position will be pivotal in delivering high-quality care to patients in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies, and hospice agencies. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to helping patients achieve their highest levels of independence. Our nurses play a crucial role in our patient's treatment plans under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors, providing direct nursing care that results in top-tier outcomes. Provide basic medical and nursing care such as checking blood pressure and inserting catheters, ensure the comfort of patients by helping them bathe or dress, discuss health care with patients and report the status of patients to registered nurses and doctors, monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior, collect samples for testing and perform routine laboratory tests, feed patients and measure and record their food and liquid intake, help with basic needs of patients such as answering calls for help, delivering messages, serving meals, making beds, and tidying rooms, administer medications and treatments per prescribed protocols. Strong observational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in maintaining charts and patient records, skill in the use of medical technologies used for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
