RN-Clinical Float

SSM Health, a Catholic, not-for-profit health system, is seeking a dedicated RN-Clinical Float to join our team. This role requires flexibility and the willingness to work in various medical departments as needed, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care across our healthcare network. As an RN-Clinical Float, you will adapt to different clinical environments, address patient care needs promptly, and uphold the values of our faith-based organization in all interactions. Provide direct nursing care in a diverse range of medical settings as assigned. Assess, monitor, and document patient health status. Adjust care plans based on patient needs, consulting with healthcare teams. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Educate patients and families on health care needs, conditions, and options. Ensure a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Maintain complete and accurate health care records. Support patient and family rights; provide culturally competent care. Adaptability to different healthcare settings. Strong clinical skills in a variety of medical specialties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to make quick and accurate assessments of patient conditions. Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records. Medical Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain certification within a specified period. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
