Maintenance Technician (Millwright

Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyors, saws, wood-chippers, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Schedule and undertake preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and maintenance costs. Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate maintenance projects. Adhere to safety standards and comply with all regulatory requirements while conducting maintenance operations. Document maintenance procedures and outcomes, including maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics. Experience with welding and fabrication. High level of proficiency with hand tools and mechanical equipment.
