CDL Chick Delivery Driver

Koch Foods is seeking a dedicated and efficient CDL Chick Delivery Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. As a major U.S. poultry processor, we specialize in delivering fresh and frozen products through cutting-edge logistics solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of live chicks from our hatcheries to various broiler farms across the region. This position is pivotal in ensuring the integral first step of our poultry supply chain runs smoothly and effectively to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. Safely transport live chicks from hatcheries to designated broiler farms using company-provided CDL vehicles. Maintain strict adherence to biosecurity measures and animal welfare protocols during the loading, transport, and unloading processes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle operation and report any maintenance issues promptly. Keep accurate records of deliveries and mileage logs, and comply with all DOT regulations and safety standards. Coordinate with hatchery staff to ensure correct order fulfillment and timely departures. Address and report any emergencies or incidents that occur during transport in a timely manner. Strong driving skills with an ability to navigate route variations Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Capable of performing physically demanding tasks Proficient in maintaining accurate transport logs and records Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record Preferable additional endorsements for transporting livestock or hazardous materials
