In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of medications under the direction of nursing staff and ensuring that patients receive the utmost care. Use your skills to make a direct impact on the lives of our patients and strengthen the fabric of our community healthcare. Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain related medical records under supervision of nursing staff. Verify identity of patient receiving medication and record name, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records. Communicate with medical staff to ensure medications are administered according to schedule and to address any changes in patient condition. Educate patients about medications including potential side effects and interactions. Assist in routine healthcare tasks such as taking vital signs and recording patient health information. Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and storage area to ensure safety. Knowledge of medication types, usage, and administration protocols. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures for health and safety. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) license is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
