Physical Therapist Assistant

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team, providing comprehensive therapy services in a dynamic healthcare setting. Our ideal candidate will assist in the treatment of patients across our facility-based and home health environments, implementing care programs designed by Physical Therapists to improve patients' quality of life. This role requires a compassionate approach and a commitment to delivering the highest quality of patient-centered care. Assist Physical Therapists in developing treatment plans. Implement patient therapy programs as directed, adjust techniques as necessary. Document patient responses and progress in detailed reports. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and maintenance exercises. Maintain equipment and ensure treatment areas are functional and safe. Assist with patient mobility and transportation within the treatment facility. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient treatment and recovery. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and therapy plans. Proficiency in documenting and reporting patient progress. Skills in using therapy equipment safely and effectively. Capability to handle physical demands such as moving or lifting patients. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the practicing state. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
