Registered Respiratory Therapist

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exemplary respiratory care services in a dynamic healthcare setting. This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of patient care environments, from inpatient facilities to home health settings, supporting patients across the post-acute continuum. Assess patient respiratory conditions through diagnostic testing and consultations. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to implement comprehensive respiratory care plans. Provide and manage life support systems for patients who require extensive respiratory therapy. Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses and diseases affecting lung health. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with regulatory standards. Stay updated with the latest respiratory care practices and technologies. Ability to operate various respiratory care equipment. Proficient in assessing and interpreting data to determine appropriate therapy. Strong communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare teams. Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Respiratory Therapist Licensure in the state of practice. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). BLS and/or ACLS certification preferred.
