Our client is a leading provider of custom switchgear and solutions for the control, monitoring and distribution of electrical power and other critical processes. We are seeking an experienced highly technical manager to coordinate resources for all aspects of customer orders from order entry through shipment including order validation, scheduling coordination with production, change order negotiations, coordination of customer visits and facilitate witness testing between customer and QA department.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide proactive leadership and direction for the Project Management Team, the Post Sales Service/Warranty Team and others as necessary
* Responsible for all aspects of customer orders from order entry through shipment including order validation, scheduling coordination with production, change order management and negotiations along with coordination of customer visits and witness testing
* Resolve all order related issues with a focus on customer service, commercial and contractual obligations
* Maintain department training/qualification program
* Ability to lead/direct the management of multiple projects simultaneously
* Provide Order Management/Project Management and project scheduling training to Sales - Projects channel personnel
* Provide communications link between business and customers regarding order status and progress

Must haves:

  • Minimum 5 years leading a PM team
  • Project management experience with construction projects
  • Manufacturing experience with custom equipment or contractor experience
  • Project management experience on projects of greater than $1M.
  • Experience with scheduling software (P6 preferred)
  • Experience with project financial management (Estimates to complete, MRP systems)
  • Experience with the following:
    • executing contracts
    • Terms & conditions
    • Risk Management
  • PMP
  • Experience negotiating contracts
  • BA from an accredited college

Nice to haves:

  • Engineering degree (preferably electrical engineering)
  • Power distribution equipment experience
  • Government contract experience
  • Traction Power equipment
