RF Product Electrical Engineer

San Jose, CA Cobham is seeking a RF Product Electrical Engineer to support RF Subsystems Manufacturing. In this position, you will work in a highly motivated team environment to develop and manufactures advanced microwave and millimeter wave subsystems, hybrid modules and components for defense and government customers. As the product owner, you will be the primary customer technical engineering contact, working closely (in the lead role) with the customer's engineering team. You will also support the manufacturing and continuous improvement of microwave and RF subsystems. To meet our customers'exacting requirements, the Manufacturing Engineering team plays a critical role in our success.
Responsibilities:
In this position the product electrical engineer will support the day to day technical issues in the production test area, drive continuous improvement in test, and develop long term innovative test and product improvements.
Ensure all test technical issues are addressed on a daily basis.
Maintain daily communication with the production team.
Apply root cause problem solving in production and field return analysis.
Develop and maintain documentation.
Participate in customer visits and teleconferences.
Bethe technical engineering contact or all customer production issues.
Evaluate hands-on resolution of electrical technical issues that affect product yield or throughput.
Provide product ownership by reviewing and approving any product configuration or process changes.
Drive continuous product improvement projects in the test area. Projects include but are not limited to:
Product redesigns done in conjunction with design engineering.
Test reduction analysis.
Using statistical process control to analyze performance trends.
Improving electrical test yield.
Interface technically with suppliers to resolve production electrical issues.
Participate in new product introduction teams. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years Manufacturing Engineering experience including experience with RF/microware circuits. Experience with microwave circuits, including amplifiers, filters, frequency multipliers, high power limiters, oscillators, switches, and mixers.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 8 years Manufacturing Engineering or related experience.
