It is recommended that you complete the assessment in a quiet setting without distractions.The Bilingual Teller is primarily responsible for providing the highest form of client service by consistently identifying opportunities to generate referrals while performing routine teller transactions such as receipt, disbursement, and recording of monies while maintaining service standards and transaction responsibilities. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Receives and processes checking and savings account deposits; provides customers with transaction records; provides customer with account balances; accepts loan payments, completed check orders and safe deposit payments; redeems U.S. Savings Bonds; validates items by entering through teller terminal.Cashes checks and processes checking and savings account withdrawals within prescribed cash limits.Greets customers and establishes a quality customer service environment; answers questions and suggests appropriate actions to meet the customer's banking needs.Identifies opportunities to refer bank products/services to new and existing customers by identifying problems, needs and opportunities; identifies customers needs and refers to the appropriate line of business.Balances and reports teller transactions daily, in accordance with standard procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Basic sales knowledgeGood math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)Ability to count and make accurate change transactionsGood communication skills; ability to gain information from individuals/customers by asking appropriate questions3 6 months PC experience; 10 key skillsGood customer service skills both in person and via telephoneMust pass Teller Mastery Assessment with a minimum score of 80 before being assigned a teller drawerThis level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of high school and a minimum of six (6) months cash handling experience, or equivalent combination of work experience/education which may include accounting, balancing, budgeting, bookkeeping, business management, or customer service.
