Senior Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer utilizes an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on customer needs and requirements to design, develop, document and test hardware and/or software systems. This position executes specific and general assignments that provide innovative, functional, cost effective and validated product designs. Systems Engineers also help lead individuals and teams though ambiguity in order to arrive at the best possible solution in a timely manner. They are responsible for aspects of complex projects related to product design and development, with focus on system requirements, architecture and design for New Product Development as well as supporting commercialized product. Qualifications: * BS in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Mechanical or related) * Experience creating and implementing requirements o VOC, work with cross functional groups to bring into specifications * Standards (risk management and usability) o Experience working with or developing FMEAs o Work closely with Quality * Broad hardware software background * Systems engineering in a regulated industry (medical device, pharma, semi-conductor, aerospace, auto, etc.) * Ability to travel up to 15% (domestic and international may be required) * Collaborative (can engage engineers of many disciplines), team player, leader mentality (unite teams - engineers and systems) o Ability to be in the lab, understand the ramifications of GUI, but also understands engineering functions and how they work together * Worked in a company with electrical and mechanical products * Could get involved in Lifecycle Group to check changes and requirements About Aerotek: Our people are everything.
