Client Reference Code: 188563-2 JOB SUMMARY Responsible for selling strategic communication solutions including Ethernet Networks, Internet, and voice based services. Primary services include WAN, LBI, PRI, VPN and ancillary Services (security, back up, etc.). Works as part of a team to drive sales by focusing on acquisition, development and management of strategic prospective clients within their assigned territory. Achieve revenue and customer goals by developing relationships with prospective clients and maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients. Has experience and skills in self-discipline. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience Responsible for achieving revenue quota in data and phone sales. Develops the strategy of the sales territory, including identifying strategic partnerships, planning the development of a territory plan, develop and build a named account list of new and existing educational clients as well as cultivating of local partnerships and organizational affiliations. Actively generates new leads with targeted businesses through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships Develop a long-term, professional relationship with the decision maker of every named account Develop and present custom solutions to new and existing educational clients. Understands the communication needs of the of the K-12 customers and designs solutions to provide additional value. Attend regional business expos and technology events to meet with perspective clients and gauge competition. Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies Coordinate with the sales engineer to create and present proposals that successfully meet our clients communications requirements Demonstrates knowledge of Network Design, MAN technologies & designs including DSx, OC-x, WDM, Ethernet, Internet Technologies, Functionality & Services, Voice Network Technologies (including VoIP), Data Networking Technologies, Functionality & Services (LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN), Networking Protocols (with an emphasis on Layers 1,2, & 3), Customer Premise Equipment (voice & data), Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery and E-rate Contracting Processes and Procedures. Manage the long and complex sales cycle for the customer to close the sale and provide effective business Work with Account Coordinators and the Erate support team to ensure that all necessary administrative work necessary to support sales activities including sales orders, contracts, billing forms and sales reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner and as required. Hand off customer service and non-sales related client inquiries to the Major Account Representative to maintain a focus on selling Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to effectively build and manage a named account list of enterprise level clients Ability to communicate orally and in writing in clear and straightforward manner Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to use personal computer and software applications Ability to acquire large business level clients Ability to sell advance business solutions to enterprise level clients Knowledge of basic advertising principles Advanced knowledge of Network "Topologies" SONET, ATM, Ethernet, Frame, ISDN, IMA, and all speeds Knowledge of communications technologies and services (I.E.
